I have some news, and I’m not going to beat around the bush… (pardon the pun)
I’m moving to Australia!!!🇦🇺

This means I will sadly be closing Funky Face Beauty for the foreseeable as of January 31st 2025😭 Which is sooo bittersweet as I’ll be starting a new incredible adventure, but also closing a huge and very important chapter of my life💔

After 6 years of working on building my business and clientele, it’s unfortunate to have to give that (and my incredible clients and friends I’ve made along the way) all up. But I’ve been fortunate enough to give this a go, so that’s exactly what I’m doing.

But enough about me, I’m going to do a much more detailed post about just how GRATEFUL I am to every single one of you who have supported me, but to boil it down to the most simplest terms… THANK YOU. Thank you for everything. I am forever grateful that you chose me, many of you from the very beginning🥹

I’ll be sending an email out to all of my current clients within my booking system with details, but the most important thing of note is that if you’d like to make an appointment with me, now is definitely the time! You can see me until Fri Jan 31st☺️

Don’t get me wrong, I believe the pampering and luxury of beauty treatments can play a huge role in any self care/love journey… but it shouldn’t be the only part!

Self care is so much more than looking after yourself on the outside, it’s about doing what’s best for your mind, body and health. This is going to take on so many different forms for each individual, but some of my personal favourite non-beauty related acts of self care include:
•cooking/meal prep
•spending time with friends/family
•doing things I don’t necessarily want to do, but that I know will ultimately help me
•wild/cold water swimming
•dancing around
•walking and spending time in nature
•a slow morning routine
These are constants I’ve implemented into my life in the last couple of years and it’s made the world of difference✨

Self care is whatever YOU need and want it to be, but remember that the best way you can look after yourself is to create a life that you love and to cherish every moment💖
And although it’s #mentalhealthawarenessweek , please remember to look after yourself every week!!

The lovely Sophie had never had her brows done before, but jumped straight in at the deep end with a brow lami!

I’ve seen lots of new faces recently, so I thought it’s about time I did a lil re-introduction!

I’m Jess, I’m 26 and have loved beauty for as long as I can remember. It started with painting my nails, then I became obsessed with makeup (who else lived through the 2016 drag queen makeup to go to the shops phase?!) and now I’m at a point in my life where beauty takes a different form. I wear little to no makeup most days, I don’t get my nails done very often at all, but I feel like every day I’m becoming a more beautiful person.

I’ve gained so much confidence and truly feel that the beauty industry has helped that. Not through covering up, or changing. But by self love and acceptance💖
•
Anywayssss less of the mushy stuff, here’s some lil facts about your brow and beauty gal:
-I am currently learning Welsh, more as a hobby than anything but I’m proud of myself for sticking at it! It hasn’t been easy🥲🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
-I have always been a proud Diet Coke girlie but I fear that I am now becoming a Pepsi Max gal😭😭😭
-Over the last few years I have discovered that I really enjoy cooking. This came from trying new foods, but also from researching more about how to manage my PCOS symptoms through my diet. My favourite thing is a nice colourful, nourishing breakfast to start my day right!
-The older I get, the more I appreciate bright, sunny days. Nothing heals me more than a nice warm sunshine stroll🌞
-I was obsessed with The Saturdays when I was younger (yes I had the Frankie haircut)
-I’m one of those people who re-watches the same like 5 shows over and over again, but my ultimate guilty pleasure is Dance Moms hahah who’s your fave? Mines always been Nia, we love an underdog

Yesterday we’ve had to say goodnight to the bestest boy in the whole wide world😭🐶

Many of you know just how incredibly special Buddy is to me. He looked after my mum, kept her company and was by her side until the very end. Losing him feels like I’m losing the last part of her, but I feel comfort in knowing that they can be reunited again. Buddy helped me through some of the darkest times of my grief and was my rock throughout lockdown when life felt impossible. For that, and for many other incredible moments shared over the last 4.5 years I am so, so grateful to my families little guardian angel, Buds.

Rest easy, Mr. B. We love you with all of our hearts forever and always💖

Dan and myself would also like to send a huge thank you to everyone who helped support Buddy during his back surgery last year. You all helped him have another year and a half of fun, adventures and love!

Many of you know just how incredibly special Buddy is to me. He looked after my mum, kept her company and was by her side until the very end. Losing him feels like I’m losing the last part of her, but I feel comfort in knowing that they can be reunited again. Buddy helped me through some of the darkest times of my grief and was my rock throughout lockdown when life felt impossible. For that, and for many other incredible moments shared over the last 4.5 years I am so, so grateful to my families little guardian angel, Buds.

Rest easy, Mr. B. We love you with all of our hearts forever and always💖

Dan and myself would also like to send a huge thank you to everyone who helped support Buddy during his back surgery last year. You all helped him have another year and a half of fun, adventures and love!

I looove doing these brows as they’re always such a transformation! My client has naturally pretty fair brows that become even fairer towards the tail end of the brow. She also has “a bit of bulk through the mid section of her brows. We’ve balanced these babies by not only creating a uniform colour throughout, but by creating a more sleek shape whilst still keeping them full and fluffy. Just GORGEOUSSS❤️‍🔥
